Fitter and turner, CNC/ NC operator – Qualified

Findlay Machining, a family-run business, is seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter and Turner to join our team. Whether you are a qualified professional, an apprentice, or have experience in the field, we are eager to hear from you. We have multiple roles within our team available to best suit your skills, with machines from surface grinders, to  Machining centres & CNC Lathes.

Our Machine Shop houses the following:

•             3 & 4 Axis CNC Machining centres

•             2 Axis CNC Lathes

•             4 Axis CNC Lathes with live tooling

•             Conventional Lathes

•             Conventional Milling Machines

•             EDM Wire Cutting

•             EDM Spark Erosion

•             Surface Grinders

•             Cylindrical Grinder

Responsibilities:

•             Operate CNC mills and lathes

•             Operate conventional mills and lathes, surface grinders

•             Operate EDM machines

•             Measure and inspect parts

•             Read and interpret drawings and selecting appropriate tooling and methods

•             Perform routine maintenance and repairs to production equipment and machinery

Requirements:

•             Trade certification as a Fitter and Turner or equivalent experience

•             Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools

•             Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

•             Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

•             Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
